Therapeutic Approaches

Dr. Wyckoff is a licensed psychologist in the state of Washington and has almost 40 years of clinical experience.

He has been trained or certified in a wide variety of therapeutic approaches including:

transactional analysis, gestalt therapy, bioenergetic analysis, hypnosis, neurolinguistic reprogramming, cognitive behavioral therapy, cranial electrical stimulation, biofeedback and applied psychophysiology.

Experience

Dr. Wyckoff’s practice includes a broad range of experience working with mood disorders, interpersonal issues and stress related disease.

He also has over 20 years of experience working with geriatric issues.  An expert in dementia care and caregiver stress, he has written several books for the long term care industry and has consulted extensively with long term care providers.

Behavioral Medicine

Dr. Wyckoff has diplomate credentials in pain management and disability determination.

He also provides health and behavior interventions to individuals with stress related chronic diseases such as hypertension and irritable bowel syndrome. This involves stress management and lifestyle modification and has been demonstrated to help reduce the need for medication and improve the chance of recovery.
